Introduction

HACIBEKTAŞ VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF TECHNICAL SCIENCES

Our vocational school began its academic life in 2003-2004 academic year,being attached to Gazi University. Having been attached to Nevsehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University in 2007, the education still continues in our college.It has approximately 5,000 square meters indoor and 36,000 square meters open area. Nearly 500 students are able to attend the classes at the same time. There are 3 computer laboratories for 20 students and equipped with computers and projections; 7 classrooms for 300 students in total; 1 circuits laboratory; 1 digital systems laboratory; 1 automation laboratory; 1 application workshop; 1 graphic design workshop; 1 printing workshop; 1 photograph workshop.

While the departments of Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Technology and Electronics Technology were present in Hacıbektaş Vocational Schhol of Technical Sciences, four new programmes including Biomedical Device Technology, Electronics and Communication Technology, Mechatronics and Graphic Design programmes were opened. The Electronic Technology programme which has been opened since 2003, but didn’t accept students because the necessary technical requirements were not met, accepted the students for the programme in 2009. The departments of Business Administration and Accounting were closed in 2010. Besides in our school, there are 1 ‘Circuits Laboratory’ and 1 ‘Digital Systems Laboratory’ that support the implementation activities in almost all the courses of the said departments. Opened in 2003 and serving until today, 2 computer laboratories have been modernized with the support of Rectorship. In 2010, the other existing  computer laboratory has been repaired and maintained.

Our school continues its education and training activities with 1 professor, 1 assistant professor, 17 lecturers and 450 students.
